I was expecting to get a one-size-fits all training experience, and was pleasantly surprised to learn that Tempo is SO MUCH MORE. It's truly like having a personal trainer in my living room, from customized plans to form feedback. The value truly can't be beat.

If you’ve ever lusted after the idea of having a personal trainer but always assumed it was out of reach, I know the feeling. It’s a lot to consider – is the cost worth it? Will I have enough time to make it worth it? What if I don’t like my Trainer?

I started looking for a fitness app that would give me some structure and guidance to keep me on track in between schlepping the kids to school, working a full day, and trying to keep up with the house. After some research, I found Tempo and it completely changed my fitness game. Here’s how:

1. I get unlimited personal training sessions at home an insane price.

For $39 a month, I can jump into a session any time I want and have a Trainer ready on-demand. I’m following a plan put together to hit my goals and am working out 3-4 days a week, easy. I would never be able to afford that many sessions with a live trainer, so the value is truly unbeatable. Plus, the virtual experience is really enjoyable. It feels like I have Trainer there by my side pushing me to my max, but being in the comfort of my own home and not having that in-person pressure is great. I still get the accountability and motivation, but in a way more convenient and affordable way.

2. I get feedback from my Trainer during my workouts.

One of the best things about working with a Trainer is knowing that you’re doing exactly what you should be doing and doing it correctly. When I train with Tempo, I get all of that same guidance – how much weight to lift, how many reps to do, how deep to squat, and feedback when my form is off. Because of this, I find that I’m lifting heavier and smarter than I ever would have myself and I can see that paying off in more definition in my arms and legs. But it even works the other way too – if I fall out of form or not hitting my rep targets, my Trainer will see that and recommend a lighter weight. All of these responsive, real-time cues help me get the most out of every session, which motivates me to keep coming back for more.

3. I feel more accountability to stick with it.

Consistency is the hardest thing to maintain, but the most important thing to get results! The plan I’m on with my Tempo Trainer helps me stick with it, because I know exactly what I need to accomplish at the start of the week. And now that I’m in a routine, it feels second nature to jump into my Monday, Tuesday, Friday sessions without even questioning it. When my Trainer sees that I’ve missed a session (because, life), it adjusts my plan for that week and sometimes even throws in a live class to give me an extra boost to the mat.

4. My Trainer automatically adjusts my workouts for me

This was the unexpected magic from my Tempo Trainer that I really love. When I synced the app with my Apple Watch,  my Trainer is able to factor in things like my sleep quality, heart rate variability, and other activity I’ve done, then adapts my daily recommendation for duration, intensity, and upper or lower body based on how well I’ve recovered since the last session. It is so cool, and feels like there’s really a human being behind the scenes programming my daily workout. And if I ever want to make a manual adjustment to the intensity or duration of my session, it’s a really easy swap to make.

5. I can jump into a session and be back to my day in under 45 mins.

It’s easy to say “I’m too busy to workout” – I’m just as guilty as anyone. But having my Tempo Trainer so accessible makes it really hard to use time as the excuse. Even when I’m super crunched for time, I can throw on my workout gear, jump into a 25 minute session, and be back in my home office clothes by the time my heart rate settles down. I’m able to squeeze in a morning training session more easily, or make it up in the evening and still have time to get everything else done for the day. Usually this level of convenience comes for a price, but with Tempo it feels like I’m getting way more for way less.

I’m totally sold on Training with Tempo.

Tempo Training makes me feel like I have my own private trainer at my beckon call – truly a luxury experience. I’m seeing results and feeling energized and stronger after every workout. Between the incredibly affordable price, convenience that helps build a routine, and the personalized experience from beginning to end, I’m planning to make Tempo my Trainer for life.
